Fracino invited to share family business secrets to success for high profile article

As a 3rd generation family business – Fracino’s family values lie at the heart of the company.

Family businesses make up 66 per cent of the UK’s private sector companies - generating over £1.1trillion in annual revenue. Fracino was delighted to be asked to contribute to Premierline’s recent article on ‘secrets to growing a successful family business’ alongside prominent family businesses and media organisations.

Retaining its core values while marking unprecedented expansion at home and abroad is key for Fracino - the UK’s only manufacturer of espresso and cappuccino machines.

Launched in a garden shed in 1963, Fracino has developed seven machines in as many years and is constantly innovating, investing and developing its 50-strong team.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, the manufacturer is home to three generations of the Maxwell family. Founder Frank is the company’s chairman; his son Adrian was the firm’s technical director for two decades and has been MD since 2010. Adrian’s wife Marion is the Accounts Director and their daughters Rebecca and Katrina work as service engineer and purchase administrator respectively.

Acknowledged for keeping it in the family, Fracino was proud to scoop the Manufacturing Family Business of the Year in 2014 with Family Business United and win the New Frontiers Award at the Red Ribbon Awards by Family Business Place in 2013.

Says MD Adrian Maxwell: “Clearly defining the roles of family members is vital as we post double digit growth year on year.”
